2019 COACHES BIOS
Head Coach/Hitting Coach: Austin Doris
Austin is in his second year coaching with SJP AA. Austin grew up in the Grande Prairie area of Northren Alberta and moved to Edmonton in grade 10 to attend the STFX academy. After completing his final year at STFX, he received a scholarship to play NJCAA Division 2 baseball in North Dakota. Austin will work primarily with hitters and outfielders. He looks to continue his success at the coaching position this year!
Assistant Coach/Infield Coach: Wyatt Lynds
Wyatt is in his second year of coaching with Austin. Wyatt attends the University of Alberta, majoring in finance with a computer science minor. He is a utility infielder for the U of A and in the summer will play for NEZ Junior AAA. Wyatt will work with the infielders.
Assistant Coach: Connor Toffan
Conner is in his second year coaching with SJP, coming off a gold-medal season with the 15U AAAs last year. Having recently graduated with a broadcasting diploma, Conner has worked as a newspaper sports editor, a commentator, and a reporter in Medicine Hat. He currently works for the CFL on TSN, but his passion for baseball means he's excited to work with and develop all the Jay's pitchers for this season as well as the years ahead!
Assistant Coach: George Morrison
George is a parent-coach, again working with the 18U AA team. He will assist with team stats and practices. His help is greatly appreciated!
